Signese.com is a collection of photos of Chinese characters in action. Although most are taken by myself on the streets of Beijing, many are contributions, which can be sent directly from your mobile phone.

“本店负责保管您未饮用完本店的威士忌”？好奇怪呀，这个餐厅是怎么卖威士忌的？我不喝酒，但国外生活的朋友告诉我，在国外的酒吧一般是按杯算的，喝一杯就收一杯的钱。如果这个餐厅也按杯来算钱的话，客人喝不完的，它来保管，然后等这个客人下次光顾的时候就拿给他喝完？——不可能吧？如果是按瓶卖，那喝剩的威士忌直接带回家就行了，哪里需要由餐厅去保管？
