* Roddy, I don’t think that’s the character for flower. Similar pronunciation, but this one should be “magnificent, splendid… flowery”?

* To be fair, the two characters are cognate, and the earliest forms of the character are just a picture of a flowering tree — I’m sure that’s what led to the confusion.
