I originally took this for a poster next to it, but noticed the use of ?§?§??for ’show’, which is becoming more prevalant.

Very interesting. Does anyone know whether this practice started out with people using the English “show” and then gradually having hanzi replace it? Or has this been hanzi all along? A related question: Is it always this Chinese character, or have others been used? In Taiwan, the word would almost certainly appear in English.
