Signese.com is a collection of photos of Chinese characters in action. Although most are taken by myself on the streets of Beijing, many are contributions, which can be sent directly from your mobile phone.
Queries and thoughts about the photos are always welcome via the comment function.

* “Star” Ferry. “登船中” is one of the signs I hate. They could just use “請登船”. But no, they chose to make it sound like Japanese.
